Today's reports cover a softer market with ETF outflows, a dropped fraud investigation in Argentina, a US Senate inquiry into Tether's reported payments, and an AI link to exchange balances.
Crypto is being judged on how it answers for itself — and an industry built on verification should apply that same standard to its environmental footprint.
According to the report, Bitcoin has fallen to roughly $80,685 while Ethereum is hovering around $2,370, with macro uncertainty cited among the market influences. Major altcoins including XRP and Dogecoin have also slipped, some by 2.2%. The report describes substantial outflows from Bitcoin and Ether ETFs and notes both assets are struggling to sustain momentum.
Market swings come and go, but the energy and resource demands of running these networks do not pause with the price, which is why environmental accountability has to be constant rather than cyclical.

A judge in Argentina has closed the fraud investigation into President Javier Milei over a cryptocurrency scandal, the report states. According to the judge, Milei's role in the token launch does not amount to a fraudulent scheme. The report does not detail any further proceedings.

The report says Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) has opened an investigation into Tether's reported multimillion-dollar payments to a consulting firm co-owned by former White House cryptocurrency adviser Bo Hines. The inquiry raises concerns about possible conflicts of interest and breaches of federal ethics and lobbying rules. According to the report, Blumenthal set out his questions in an Oct. 22 letter to Tether's CEO, and the reported figure is around $6M.
